The Tom Morrissey Building (formerly the Monash Enterprise Centre or Monash Incubator) opened in 1999 and provided office space and business support services for local small businesses for more than 15 years. Over 700 businesses called the Incubator their business home in that time.

During that time, it was clear that our key point of difference was using a supportive business environment to nurture businesses that wanted to grow. Business growth and innovation in the City of Monash and surrounding municipalities has developed substantially and our city is now Victoria’s second largest employer outside of Melbourne’s CBD and has particular strength in in the health, education and manufacturing sectors.
