59th Export & Investment Award Winner: iBuild Building Solutions

iBuild Building Solutions was awarded the 59th Export & Investment Award: Small business category for outstanding international success with total annual sales not exceeding $10 million.

Set up in a Melbourne garage 7 years ago by Jackson Yin and Michael Zeng, this 100% Australian owned business is answering the call for affordable accommodation and community housing solutions.

As an Approved Tender Supplier of prefabricated buildings to the Victorian Government and the United Nations, iBuild has worked on major infrastructure projects in partnership with leading builders like John Holland and Lendlease, as well as delivering important social housing and aged care projects from Africa to regional Australia.

iBuild is passionate about understanding customer needs and assisting international agencies for humanitarian causes. This motivation is reflected in their digital pivot at the start of the global pandemic to create a virtual reality walkthrough of their showrooms, which ultimately landed them a multi-million dollar contract contributing to a German foreign aid project in Senegal.

Award presenter, Shadow Minister for Senior Australians and Aged Care Services and Federal Member for Hotham, Clare O’Neil, said it best: we are “so proud of the work that is being done” and iBuild is “doing something that is truly amazing.”
